Sonja's first airplane experience was when she was around eight-months old. We flew to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico for Kate's wedding in October 2008, where I was her matron of honour. I remember it was at least 34 degrees every day that we were there and Sonja literally wilted in the heat. I was carrying her in a baby carrier and as soon as we took her outside, she would rest her head against my chest, start sweating, and her little eyes would just glaze over. When we would walk into an air-conditioned store or hotel, she would perk back up and come back to life again. Poor Bubber. We had a stroller with us, but gave up on it after our first night in town; the sidewalks weren't the greatest and it was easier to just carry her.
The apartment we stayed in was at the very top of a massive hill. Seriously, the hills were so steep that the sidewalks were stairs. Another reason to abandon the stroller. It was a quaint place and was conveniently located about three blocks from a fantastic vegetarian restaurant that we ended up eating at a couple times a day. I still think about their breakfast and salivate...

I hope Haven handles the flights as well as Sonja did. The nice thing about this trip is that the flight to Calgary is a heck of a lot shorter than flying to Mexico, thank goodness.
Have a great time! Hugs for the Scotts! Love all of you!
